United Way Big Brother/Big Sister:  Is the oldest, largest, and most effective youth mentoring organization in the United States.  They have been the leader in one-to-one youth service for more than a century, developing positive relationships that have a direct and lasting impact on the lives of young people. Big Brothers Big Sisters mentors children, ages 6 through 18, in communities across the country.  Their formal mission is to help children reach their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one relationships with mentors that have a measurable impact on youth.

 


Dress For Success:  A women focused organization which focuses on getting women living on the means of welfare back into the work force. Dress for Success provides, workshops that help prepare women for job interviews. They also provide professional clothing that is donated from other professional women who no longer use their suits, dress and blouses.

 


INROADS:  An organization which helps a select group of minority high school graduates and college freshman secure summer paid internships while attending college. The students must maintain a 3.5 GPA or better to continue in the program each year.  During the 3 years the students are enrolled in the program there are various workshops all throughout.  INROADS provides students with much needed coaching in how to be successful in corporate America.

 


Friends Junior Committee:  A community volunteer organization with over 120 members benefiting Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.  FJC is comprised of young professionals in the Atlanta who are interested in donating their time, talents and ideas to benefit the patients and families of Children’s.  The mission of FJC is to empower young leaders to make a difference in the lives of children through fundraising and volunteer service.



Chayil:  An organization that helps women suffering from Domestic Violence  that have demonstrated a desire for additional support and have been away from their domestic violence situation for 6 months to a year.  Chayil helps them to become productive members of society, finding jobs, education, financial counseling, and life coaching.

 


M.U.S.T. Ministries:  A faith-based organization which for thirty-seven years has been dedicated to providing services to persons and families in crisis while maintaining their dignity. MUST is a place where one's faith can be put into action and where we can minister to the poor, the brokenhearted and those who are in crisis.
